Environment

We have introduced 50 kWh solar photovoltaic power generating system that generates the most electricity in the western area of Saitama Prefecture.

▶ Petroleum reduction effect: 10,431 ℓ/year
▶ Energy equivalent to forest area: 40,467 ㎡/year
▶ CO2 reduction effect: 7,032 kg-co2/year


1.Environmental Policy

・Global environmental conservation significantly influences the survival of humanity; therefore, we deploy harmonious corporate activities in response to our corporate social responsibility.

2.Environmental Target

・We implement awareness campaigns to prevent global warming and take part in the Challenge 25 Campaign.

3.Action Guidelines

(1) We promote resource saving and energy saving and reduce waste and emissions in each area from purchase to shipment.

(2) We use environmentally friendly materials preferentially.

(3) We disseminate our action guidelines to all the people who work for Mikami or at Mikami.

4.Fiscal 2015 Implementation Plans

(1) We will continue the 2008 Photovoltaic Generation New Technology Field Test Project.

(2) We will continue as a Sai-No-Kuni designated factory.

(3) We will promote the Eco Up Declaration of Saitama Prefecture.

(4) We will reduce 15 tons of CO2 per year (equivalent to 40,101 ㎡ of forest area, equivalent to 11,838 liters of petroleum)

5.Policies on Environmental Risks

・We consider it important to build a system to obviate or minimize environmental risks even if such risks were to occur.

Environmental Risk Control We meet and discuss with the community periodically. We also welcome factory visits.
Wastewater from Factory &
Soil Management
With regard to wastewater treatment, we use combined wastewater treatment facilities in the Industrial Park and delegate the management to Tokorozawa City. With regard to soil surveys, we have delegated the management to Tokorozawa City.
Noise Management Mikashima Industrial Park is located in an adjustment district and we have obtained approval based on Class 4 of Noise Regulation Law of Saitama Prefecture.
Vibration Management We manage and maintain our facilities based on the Vibration Regulation Law and delegate periodic inspections to Tokorozawa City.
